How We Test

Every lot is independently tested before it ships. We publish the full certificate of analysis for every batch — not a summary, the actual document.

Our Testing Panel

We run a comprehensive six-assay panel on every lot we carry. Most research peptide suppliers run one or two assays — we run five, covering purity, identity, and three safety screens.

Purity

HPLC Purity

High-performance liquid chromatography measures the percentage of the target compound present in the vial. Our in-stock products meet a minimum purity threshold before they are offered for sale.

Identity

Mass Spectrometry (MS)

Identity confirmation by mass spectrometry verifies that the compound in the vial matches the labeled peptide — not a structurally similar compound or substitution.

Safety

Heavy Metals — ICP-MS

Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry screens for elemental impurities including lead, arsenic, mercury, cadmium, and other heavy metals that may be introduced during synthesis or handling.

Endotoxin — USP <85>

Bacterial endotoxin testing per USP <85> confirms that the lot meets acceptable endotoxin limits for research-grade material. Endotoxin contamination is a common failure point not tested by most suppliers.

Sterility — PCR

Polymerase chain reaction testing confirms the absence of microbial contamination — bacteria, yeast, and mold — in each lot prior to release.

We use ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratories — meaning the testing methods and results have been independently verified by a national accreditation body. Every COA we publish comes from accredited facilities, not in-house instruments or unverified third parties.

Why This Matters

Most research peptide suppliers publish a single HPLC purity number — sometimes from an in-house instrument, sometimes from a third-party lab with no disclosed accreditation. A purity number tells you one thing: the percentage of your target compound. It tells you nothing about what else is in the vial.

Our panel adds four additional screens: identity (is it actually what it says it is?), heavy metals (are there elemental contaminants from synthesis?), endotoxin (are there bacterial byproducts that could compromise research?), and sterility (is there microbial contamination?). These are the questions a complete COA answers.
